Remember my credit rating and credit score is good, but I don't want to live on credit anymore. So I don't buy clothes, shoes etc. on credit unless I got the cash to buy it.

The amazing thing is that lots of people including myself have got wardrobes full of clothes and lots of shoes. What I learned in life is that you desire or want something and then you get it, but then you get bored of it and neglect or not use it. Human nature.

Sometimes you desire the new car or house furniture that your neighbor or friend has, but you don't have the cash to purchase it. So don't make a loan or use credit to buy it. Use your old car or furniture, because you got nothing to prove to nobody.

Don't put a debt burden or be enslaved by debt to live beyond your means.

As you can see from the above images that I still use and wear old stuff. This is the price I am paying to ensure that I don't incur unnecessary debt.

In actual fact I bought myself 3 pairs of shoes and shirts brand new and cash over the weekend. It felt good to buy the items cash.

I also drive a old car, have old cellphone, laptop and pc.

My next car is going to be 100% cash.

So the lesson learned here is don't live above your means and sacrifice to become debt free.

I'm not saying wear broken socks, shoes, clothes etc. like me, but just make it a habit of no incurring unnecessary debt when you have old clothes etc. at home.
